Attention current 4th grade students / rising 5th graders for 2024-2025!
We are accepting applications for Safety Patrol!
Safety Patrol team information was presented to all current 4th grade students during a group assembly program on February 28, 2024.
Timeline to apply for Safety Patrol:
February 28th – Application process begins (applications posted on school website).
March 8th – Last day to turn in your application to Mrs. Jason. No late applications will be considered!!!
April 1st – Announcement of Safety Patrol Team members

To apply for the Safety Patrol team:
- Download and print the application (Click Here). If needed, you may pick up a printed copy of the application from the front office.
- Complete and turn in your portion of the application to Mrs. Jason by March 8, 2024. You can email your portion of the application to Mrs. Jason or turn it into the Rawlings front office. (Click here to email Ms. Jason)
- Give your teacher recommendation form, resource teacher recommendation form and ACE recommendation form to your teachers. Teachers will complete the recommendation letters and turn in to Ms. Jason.

Frequently asked questions:
Q: Can I be in both Safety Patrol and News Team?
A: NO! You cannot be in both Safety Patrol and News Team. If you are selected to be a part of the Safety Patrol team you should not apply for the News Team as you cannot do both.
Q: Can I ride the bus to school during my duty?
A: No buses when you are on duty! Students will need alternate transportation on the weeks of their duty. Students are required to be on duty at 8:00 am on the weeks of morning duty and stay until at least 3:05 pm on the weeks of afternoon duty.
Q: If I am chosen for the Safety Patrol team, when will I be trained for duty?
A: New Safety Patrol team members are trained during the month of May. All team members will receive a training schedule.
Q: When will I be on duty for the 2024-2025 school year?
A: The first day of 5th grade!!! Some students will be scheduled to work on the first day of school. A schedule will be provided for all members selected for a club.
Q: When can I apply for the News Team?
A: Mr. Edeker will be sharing information about the News Team in late March and the application will be available on April 2, 2024.
