Turtle Trot Information
Turtle Trot Pep Rally – Tuesday, September 2nd
Turtle Trot Spirit Week – Week of September 15th
September 15th is “Make Waves Monday”- Dress in shades of blue, turquoise and white to look like the ocean. Bonus: wave to everyone you pass in the hallway!
September 16th is “Beach Bash Tuesday”– Wear beach gear: rash guards, board shorts, beach dresses, or anything with surfboards on it.
September 17th is “Sunny Shades Wednesday”– Wear sunglasses and your coolest summer hat or visor (inside only for fun, not during tests!).
September 18th is “Turtle Time Thursday”- Wear green for the school’s sea turtle mascot!
Turtle Trot RSVP – closes Monday, September 22nd
All visitors are required to RSVP to attend the Turtle Trot. They must also be cleared volunteers in Raptor.

Turtle Trot Race Day Schedule – Friday, September 26th
8:50-9:35am = 3rd grade
9:40-10:25am = 2nd grade
10:40-11:20am = VPK and Kindergarten
11:55am-12:40pm = 4th grade
12:45-1:30pm = 1st grade and Mrs. B-G’s class
1:35-2:20pm = 5th grade
Turtle Trot Rain Day – Monday, September 29th
We will only need this day if it rains on the 26th
Health screens:
Students in grades KG, 1st and 3rd will be offered health screenings per Florida Statute 381.0056 (4)(a) on :
3rd grade – September 23 (height, weight & vision)
KG & 1st– January 29
KG (Vision & Hearing)
1st (Vision, Hearing, Height & Weight)
Students will receive screenings for vision, hearing, and height/weight. If your child wears glasses, please ensure they have them on their screening day. You may opt your student out of the health screenings by clicking the link below, filling out the form and returning it to your child’s teacher.

The St. Johns County School District has begun its review of instructional materials for K-12 English Language Arts.
Parents and community members are encouraged to participate. If you want to join a school committee to serve on a review team, contact Mrs. Frank at [email protected] or 904-547-3823 by September 25th. Committee spots are limited, and school administrators will select members from those interested.
